NILES-SIMMONS stands for a machine tool brand with high vertical integration. In addition to the development and design department, the pre-mechanical and sheet metal production are also located in-house. The result is high-precision and durable machine tools. A modular machine design allows maximum flexibility and efficient production processes. Machines of the brand are developed, designed, and manufactured at the headquarters in Chemnitz. This includes horizontal lathes, turning-milling machining centers, milling machining centers, 5-axle machining centers, vertical turning centers, and special purpose machines.
Our requirements:
- Graduate engineer, master, bachelor preferably in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, automation technology or comparable qualification
- Good knowledge of common EDP applications (MS-Office)
- Foreign language skills in English and possibly other languages
- Analytical thinking and conceptual strength
- Professional competence, assertiveness, ability to work in a team
- Flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide
Your responsibilities:
- Commissioning of machines, optimization of drives / axes
- Commissioning of external assemblies (tool monitoring, interlinking, measuring stations, KM systems, etc.)
- Adaptation of PLC and NC programs
- Independent modification of hardware
- Responsible for feedback and archiving of software and hardware changes
- Execution of customer trainings (machine operation,machine specific PLC programming, hardware concept)
- Ensuring the operational capability of the required commissioning and communication technology (hardware and software equipment) as well as other measurement technology
- Securing remote diagnosis via remote service
- Service tasks for delivered machines (troubleshooting electrical, programming, mechanical, fluid)
- Carrying out mechanical work during assembly operations
