As a company in the machine tool industry, HEGENSCHEIDT-MFD is one of the market leaders worldwide in these business areas. The product range in the Railway business unit includes underfloor and above-floor wheelset lathes for reprofiling wheelsets as well as wheelset presses, wheelset diagnostic systems, and rerailing systems for rail vehicles.
The Automotive business unit manufactures and sells fixed and straightening rolling machines as well as plain bearing fine turning and smoothing machines for the machining of crankshafts.
In addition, current and future drive concepts offer a wide range of new applications for burnishing and deep rolling technology. Another focus of our activities is currently the development of tools and processes for the hard and smooth rolling of functional surfaces as well as bearing and sealing surfaces of rotationally symmetrical workpieces.
HEGENSCHEIDT-MFD GmbH, located in Erkelenz, Germany, employs about 480 people and generates a total turnover of €100 million.
