For more Reliability & Innovation
The demand could not be higher than to contribute to the reliability of the world's largest passenger aircraft. Every day, the turning/milling machining centers are in operation to transport passengers and cargo to the most distant places in the world. Size and speed place the highest stress demands on materials and processing and require new standards in the machining of aircraft components, especially regarding their reliability.
In addition, the focus in modern aviation is increasingly on the use of stronger and lighter materials. In addition to aluminum and composites, more and more high-temperature materials such as titanium or Inconel are being used in construction. These factors also increase the complex demands on a modern turning/milling machining center for the machining of components for the aerospace industry.
With our innovative technologies and machining concepts, we meet these high demands of our customers and enable new standards in complete machining, ranging from machining technologies to high-precision grinding operations.
Product Portfolio
When it comes to machining workpieces, the aerospace industry stands for high precision, solid materials, and a high level of technical innovation. Our products are developed for these highly individual customer requirements. The most important series for this industry are the turning-milling machining centers. Due to the various possibilities of process integration, the most diverse customer requirements can be met. In addition to these high-precision multitasking machines, we also have special milling machines and milling lathes as well as turning and grinding machines in our product portfolio

NILES-SIMMONS develops the new »CENTER AXIS ALIGNMENT« process
In highly technical, innovative, and sensitive industrial sectors such as the aerospace industry or the defense and energy sectors, the demands on the production of complex components and the machining of high-strength materials are constantly increasing. In particular, the reduction of error within production processes for highly complex and cost-intensive workpieces is becoming more important with regard to the »cost-per-part« and the accuracies to be achieved.

Complete machining of complex components: NILES-SIMMONS machine concept "CLOSED-DOOR-MACHINING".
NILES-SIMMONS has developed the machining concept of "CLOSED-DOOR-MACHINING" in order to meet the constantly increasing requirements for the production of complex and high-precision components, for example from the aircraft industry.
