Pair grinding is a process in which two workpieces are precisely matched. The first workpiece is measured with high precision and the second workpiece is then ground to this exact dimension. This process is used particularly in the manufacture of hydraulic valves and injection nozzles, where maximum accuracy of fit is crucial. With the S2A, we realize the pairing grinding of two hydraulic components at the highest level. The inner bore of a housing is first measured and then a second component is ground to the measured dimension. This precise adjustment means that the components are matched to each other to within 3 micrometers, which ensures maximum efficiency and durability in the hydraulics.
