NSH GROUP at GrindingHub 2026: Progress and innovation in grinding technology

Over the course of the four-day event, we were delighted to welcome many interested trade visitors, engage in fascinating discussions and showcase a wide range of innovations in grinding technology. The NSH signature booth was very well received by the trade show audience and generated a great deal of interest. At the booth, we presented the following topics:

DIGITISATION IN THE GRINDING PROCESS – WoP®-3D

At Grinding Hub 2026, we presented our solutions for the digitalisation of grinding processes with the further development of the WEMA GLAUCHAU WoP® TOUCH operating software. An integrated 3D module enables the automatic conversion of STEP files into precise 3D models, thereby forming the basis for parameterised work plans and structured job lists.

Visitors were particularly intrigued by the fully networked processes – from planning through to machining. These enable greater transparency and improved planning in production. At the same time, more automated processes reduce the operator’s workload and enhance process reliability.

STABLE PROCESSES – Self-centering steady rests

With our newly developed self-centering steady rests including measuring control, we demonstrated impressively at the GrindingHub what the latest innovation for stable grinding processes means for the precise machining of long, slender components. The special steady rest enables the automatic alignment of long and slender workpieces during the process, eliminating the need for manual readjustment or intermediate setup. The steady rests and the associated process were presented on our WOTAN S3A external grinding machine, which was a particular highlight of the exhibit and attracted great interest.

Both the machine concept and the new steady rests directly contribute to improving efficiency, process reliability, and sustainability in manufacturing. Thanks to the more stable workpiece support, defective workpieces are reduced and the grinding processes overall are made more economical.
