As a company in the machine tool industry, HEGENSCHEIDT-MFD is one of the market leaders worldwide in these business areas. The product range in the Railway division includes underfloor and above-floor wheelset lathes for reprofiling wheelsets as well as wheelset presses, wheelset diagnostic systems and rerailing systems for rail vehicles.

The Automotive division manufactures and sells fixed and straightening rolling machines as well as plain bearing fine turning and smoothing machines for the machining of crankshafts.

 

You bring with you:

  • completed vocational training as an industrial clerk or
  • several years of professional experience in international forwarding of machinery and equipment
  • Practical experience in international payment transactions, document processing and the IT procedure ATLAS Export/AES
  • Sound knowledge of forwarding and freight law as well as Incoterms and customs/export regulations
  • Knowledge of foreign languages: English
  • Organizational skills and flexibility
  • PC application: word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations

Your responsibilities:

  • Control and supervision of packaging services to be performed for machines and/or spare parts, including the determination of the type and scope of packaging, taking into account the intended mode of transport as well as the destination.
  • Control and supervision of the optimal and on-time shipment of machines and/or spare parts at home and abroad including the placing of orders with forwarding agents
  • Execution of material disposition
  • Control and monitoring of customs and export regulations
  • Coordination of truck deployment
