NILES-SIMMONS stands for a machine tool brand with high vertical integration. In addition to the development and design department, the pre-mechanical and sheet metal production are also located in-house. The result is high-precision and durable machine tools. A modular machine design allows maximum flexibility and efficient production processes. Machines of the brand are developed, designed, and manufactured at the headquarters in Chemnitz. This includes horizontal lathes, turning-milling machining centers, milling machining centers, 5-axle machining centers, vertical turning centers, and special purpose machines.
Our requirements:
- Completed technical/college studies in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology or comparable
- Expert knowledge in the areas of electrical engineering, project planning of electrical switchgear, drive and control system as well as drive optimization, turning-milling technologies as well as in the relevant standards situation
- Basic knowledge in the areas of quality assurance, fluid technology, clamping and control technology as well as measurement technology
- Ready-to-use and confident handling of project planning and calculation software, e.g. Eplan, and ERP systems as well as software commonly used in the industry (MS Office)
- Independent, careful, persistent and structured way of working with personal responsibility
- Ability to work in a team
- Ready-to-use knowledge of English (technical vocabulary of mechanical engineering)
Your responsibilities:
- Creation of hardware projects for machines or plants, determination of the required components, execution or supervision of the necessary calculations, estimation of the required efforts, costs and risks
- Independent creation of electrical plans as well as control and drive specifications
- Supervision of development topics and implementation of the results in commissioning or implementation specifications according to internal standards
- Creation of functional descriptions of executed hardware projects and concepts
- Technical coordination with internal and external stakeholders for the implementation of the respective projects
